ABOUT MARISSA

Hi,
I’m Marissa – poet, author, mother, daydreamer and reader.
Raised on a nutritious diet of family folk tales and dog-eared books, I love to immerse myself in stories. When I started a family of my own, I was inspired to write about the strange new experience. I found the words came easily to me - sleep was much more of a battle. I composed poetry in my head while nursing my baby at two am in the morning!
I have put some of these poetic thoughts together in a collection called Joy and Pandemonium which is available here.
My other writing projects include visual poetry, flash fiction and children’s stories. I hope you enjoy my poems, stories and reflections and look out for more coming your way soon.
